National Right to Life Endorses Se. Cassidy for Reelection

Baton Rouge—Today, The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) endorsed U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) for reelection to the U.S. Senate, calling him “a bold voice for life.” Cassidy has been a leader in Congress defending the lives of unborn children and opposing the Left’s agenda to expand the practice of abortion.
“Senator Cassidy has a 100% Pro-Life voting record. He supports compassionate proposals to safeguard unborn children and their mothers from the pain of abortion,” said NRLC President Carol Tobias. “This endorsement reflects your commitment to strengthening a culture of life throughout the nation and in the U.S. Senate.”
“I appreciate National Right to Life for their endorsement and will continue to fight for Louisiana’s pro-life values in the U.S. Senate,” said Dr. Cassidy. “As a doctor, I know every unborn baby is a life deserving a future, and as your Senator, I will continue to fight for our unborn children and do everything I can to ensure your taxpayer dollars never fund the abortion industry.”
Senator Cassidy has introduced several pieces of legislation to protect the sanctity of human life, including the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act that requires medical services be provided for babies who survive abortions and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act which would ban abortions after 20 weeks when babies can feel pain inside the womb. Democrats blocked both of these bills from passing during a vote on the Senate floor this year.
